IHG Americas Business Support Center is located in the Northpoint/Alpharetta area just outside Atlanta's Perimeter (I-285) and is easily accessible from Georgia 400, offering a convenient commute from most all areas of Metro Atlanta. Located amongst beautiful green spaces, the office building has a nearby MARTA stop for easy access to the MARTA train station for alternative commuting options during business hours. This exciting role will perform a variety of duties, both administrative as well as higher level support in the coordination of special projects to support assigned departmental business operations. This role will assist in completing and/or coordinating activities as related to assigned special projects; assist in establishing and/or communicating project timetables, actions steps and status updates; follow-up, as appropriate, to ensure timely execution to meet established deadlines. The Sales Coordinator will assist in the development of designated Key Accounts within the Americas region. This role will assist in responding to the needs of designated Key Accounts in researching available hotels and presenting appropriate Company hotels to meet their stated business requirements.
Salary Range: $41,525 - $45,000 annually
Plus bonus potential
High School degree or technical institute degree/certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Typically 2-5 years administrative or related experience for assigned function. Technological experience and a high degree of computer literacy preferred.
Qualifications and Technical skills -
Demonstrated time management skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/clients required. Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with Key Accounts. Ability to interact on a professional level with management and clients. Works effectively with low supervision. Strong PC skills including software packages with emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing, and databases. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills for the purpose of conveying information to internal and external customers, and developing information via written reports and presentations. Demonstrated ability to analyze information for the purpose of accurately maintaining data and reporting trends or inconsistencies. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects with follow-through and ability to complete multiple ongoing projects on time and within specified budget. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain accuracy of reporting data. Good math skills.
Other Information -
Work is typically performed in a normal office environment. Travel as needed less than 10% of time.

Full service banquet & convention facility (200 Peachtree) located in the heart of downtown Atlanta is seeking an Event Sales Manager to join our team. The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling social & corporate events, securing new/repeat accounts, and executing tactical sales plans to maximize the profitability while maintaining guest satisfaction. Individual must have customer first attitude, and be a self-starter.
The ideal candidate will have a college degree or equivalent business experience as well as a minimum of 4 years of industry experience in meetings, conferences and banquet event sales, or similar role.
Experience working with clients in the Corporate Market and diverse cultural backgrounds a plus.
Must have a strong rolodex of potential clients to prospect.
Must be detail oriented, organized, efficient, and a multi-tasker.
Experience in team leadership, project management, budgeting, and goal setting is important as is having strong interpersonal skills.
Requires outstanding ability to develop relationships, and work with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
Effective communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, influence and sell professionals and/or prospective guests.
Ability to work closely with team to ensure guest expectations is exceeded.
A strong working knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
Previous use of database programs such as Delphi is preferred.
Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter.
Attend to clients and guests the day of the function to insure that needs and requests are met with banquet manager and banquet staff.
Conduct follow-up with clients after function to ascertain that needs were met and service was as promised. Follow up information must be collected and given to owners for review.
a fixed base salary, variable additional compensation based on threshold activity levels, incentive compensation 7.5 % of net profits of business booked (no ceiling) and free covered parking.
