Resort Marketing - Brand Marketing Manager

OVERVIEW

The Brand Marketing Manager will execute a brand strategy that drives awareness, differentiation, affinity, and preferences.  This position will take an active role in planning, conceiving and executing the Parq Vancouver resort brand strategy.  The Manager of Brand Marketing will help develop the positioning for the resort and activate it across all departments. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Generate consumer demand through Brand awareness and positioning initiative
     o    Works closely with Director of Resort Marketing and Brand Experience & Activation     Manager to develop and conduct brand positioning and activation workshops by department
    o    Leads creative agency in developing brand voice and writes copy for marketing advertising and collateral
    o    Works closely with Brand Experience & Activation Manager on tool kit development for national campaigns and ensure resort can activate locally.
    o    Develops digital content for major consumer events and plans distribution of content through internal and external digital and social channels
    o    Partners with Public Relations and Social Media teams to support brand events to maximize impact, press and social outreach
    o    Oversees creative development of marketing assets with resort marketing team
    o    Develops presentations to share with key stakeholders and community organizations on brand strategy, framework, positioning, activation and results.
•    Focus on driving business results through brand and marketing campaigns
    o    Works with the Parq Vancouver partners to express business challenges and executes tactical plans to drive market share
    o    Collaborates with Parq Vancouver partners to research industry best-practices and forward looking trends to identify areas of opportunity for future initiatives
    o    Works with Digital Marketing Manager and Parq Vancouver partners on offer and package development to meet consumer needs and drive transient revenue
    o    Reviews competitive information and works with the team to develop recommendations
•    Serve as a brand ambassador to Parq Vancouver and other key stakeholders within the organization and community
    o    Must have strong presentation and public speaking skill
    o    Develops and executes communication of brand updates, development of brand marketing plans and overall brand strategy to key influencer audience, including all stakeholders.
    o    Works with HR team to build a strong brand team culture plan, and provide training to new associates on brand mission statement, pillars and service culture
    o    Develops communication on behalf of the brand such as resort correspondence (emails), general brand updates, intranet site material, etc.
    o    Develop and execute in designing training/immersion presentations for various stakeholders, external partners and on property associates
    o    Develops and executes on best practices and creative ideas for on-property and external facing programs
    o    Build a strong relationship with creative agency, and key members of the resort team to ensure property brand pull through that results in a consistent and strong visual identity
Additional Responsibilities:
•    Must be able to develop briefs for programs that outline the goals and budgets and KPIs. Able to plan and execute marketing plans & events, develop & distribute content, and evaluate the program success
•    Experience in travel, culinary, publishing, retail or other lifestyle industry experience is preferred where experience development, talent culture and programming were key elements of the brand expression
•    Analyze how the Parq Vancouver brand is positioned in the market and develop targeted consumer insights
•    Take brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies to match up to
•    Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies
•    Lead creative development and create motivating stimulus to get targeted population to “take action”
•    Other projects as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
 
•    BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
•    Proven working experience as brand manager or associate brand manager
•    Drive for results and leaderships skills
•    Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
•    Highly creative with ability to think out of box
•    Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
•    Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
•    Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
•    Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
•    Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices
•    Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets
•    Excellent command of the English language
 
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS
 
•    Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license (GPEB)
