The HSMAI Virginia Chapter was chartered in March 2010 when individuals expressed a strong need to have an organization to provide the resources, support, programming, and certifications to assist them in dealing with the rapidly changing sales and marketing environment. These "plank" owners developed a task force to explore the viability of chartering a new chapter dedicated to providing the professionals in Virginia with the tools to help them meet the daily challenges of their jobs.
