As technology impacts and changes the way people travel, many businesses are trying to predict how it will continue to influence the travel industry in the future. In the past year, Marriott, Best Western, Carlson Rezidor, Shangri-La, and Airbnb have all incorporated Virtual Reality (VR) into the guest experience in some way.
 
There's no denying that VR is making a big mark on the hospitality industry. Where is the technology headed? Is now the time to invest in it's use? Could hoteliers embed VR content into their websites to be consumed by potential customers on-line? Is this the natural development from 2D and 3D video content?

Antonio started his professional career in Spain on digital advertising. In 2004 joined Meliá Hotels International as Digital Marketing & Sales Manager. After holding various positions and globally lead Melia.com's, was transferred to USA to oversee the chain's E-commerce and Customer Strategies. 
In 2013 he transitioned into the consulting industry helping hotel companies sell more online. In 2014 joined Hotel Connections as VP of Marketing & Ecommerce. Last year he co-founded FirstView Digital Content, a production company that develops 360-degree and Virtual Reality immersive experiences for the hospitality industry.

Marco Fanton has over 14 years of experience marketing and developing in the digital environments. In 2008, he moved to Palma de Mallorca, leading the online product development for Meliá Hotels International, defining strategy of developing web-based products, SEO strategy and designing the new melia.com web and hotels brands. Since 2011, Marco has been the Global Social Media Director at the Meliá Hotels International, responsible for the strategic development and implementation of all major social media initiatives for the Meliá Hotels brands. Recently moved to Miami office as Director of Global Brand Marketing for the new vacation membership brand Circle By Melia.

Benji has helped to craft the social media strategies of top brands such as One&Only, The Peninsula Hotels, Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Intercontinental to create a measurable impact across various social channels.
