We will examine the relationship and expectations set between a VP or Asset Manager and their on-property revenue leaders, and then provide helpful insight into improving the efficiency, quality, and productiveness of reporting and communication. Knowing what questions to ask and what to look for in the answers can help an executive leader assess the effectiveness of revenue management operations in their hotels while staying away from unfruitful topics and conversation. Conversely, revenue managers seeing their discipline and function through the eyes of their executive will provide a keen roadmap in managing up and communicating a strong succinct vision of their strategy and results.
